“But Most of all, Be Prepared” – NASA warns its family

Jun 23, 2011 | World Today

Recently NASA warned their people (and their families) to be prepared. I found the warning video they made very interesting because it was sending out a message that is more credible than usual (usual for them). Last time when they announced the “great” discovery of a celestial body near Earth, the whole planet waited for days with baited breath for the amazing revelation only to be told in the end some scientific data that were not even so spectacular for the scientists (for the rest of the public they were disappointing) as had been announced. The situation was typical for their “smoke screen” department. This time the situation is a little different.

The fact that in order to encourage people to make a supply kit for difficult times they used the argument of an attack similar to the 9/11 attack looks strange at first since such an event could not disrupt life in society to such an extent that people would need a supply kit in their home … unless you are aware of such a major attack that could disrupt the social life for many days throughout the whole country … and what could that be other than a nuclear attack or an alien invasion? Otherwise, just terrorist attacks (even big ones) cannot paralyze an entire country to such an extent that local life would be endangered and people would need a survival kit. What kind of attacks could result in electrical or water supply problems throughout the whole country or large regions? Or maybe they are planning something to be sure that it will work since they are clearly the adepts of the concept “better do it yourself so you are sure it is done well” 😉 (see the blue beam project).

Now regarding natural disasters, the NASA guy is using another strange argument that defies logic, especially when he is contradicting himself. He says that people living on the gulf coast have an emergency kit in their homes in case of hurricanes, on the west coast maybe they are thinking about earthquakes… then he concludes “be prepared and have a survival kit in our home”. What is the reason to reinforce this preparedness in case of natural disasters since these are not happening completely randomly but follow certain laws of nature? Take the occurrence of tsunami in Switzerland for instance. There they do not have any sea around and they are quite high in the mountains, therefore they are not prepared for such a natural disaster. To start talking to them about this eventuality and telling them to anyway be prepared for a tsunami because you never know where and when it could hit would be strange at the very least. And yet the NASA warning is using this kind of forced generalization as an argument! Why? This kind of general warning and preparedness would make sense only when you know that these laws of nature have changed and a tsunami could hit Switzerland. But this is big news!

Otherwise these arguments are like telling people from a tropical country to always have at hand some winter clothes and as an argument you tell them: “look what happens in Siberia!” People in every region are prepared for the type of natural disaster that is possible in their region and which did happen already in the past. This is the reason why in Japan they built their houses so well so that very few fell when they had their recent earthquake. And the survival kit would not have been useful in any way against the tsunami otherwise they would have had one for each Japanese citizen. Giving the example with the people from the gulf coast and their survival kit for hurricanes and then generalizing it for everyone doesn’t make sense … except in the case that you know that the rules of the game have changed and people should be prepared for the surprises that are coming.

In fact, the last phrase of the whole video is very clearly focusing not on the reasons for why to be prepared (obviously not being able to clarify this issue in a reasonable manner without disclosing the surprises that are coming) “but most of all to be prepared”. The repetition of this suggestion of preparedness with arguments that are not holding water is either indicating that the people who made this video are stupid or there is something big going on and they are trying to warn the NASA employees as casually as possible in order to not make it a very big event. Even if the first possibility is also very tempting (especially considering some of the past actions of the agency) I have to admit that the second version is more credible for the moment. They are up to something very big and they try to make their employees ready, together with their families. They could have made this warning in an internal preparation video training like they do with many other things;  but if such a training video was leaked from NASA (even if filmed by an employee with his mobile phone and posted on the net) would have created an immense wave of attention upon the subject. In this way, posting it on their website, it is becoming old news in a short time and those who are supposed to hear it are warned and the rest get what they always get: junk media coverage. This is called “hiding in plain sight”, a method used in many situations when there is a high risk of information leakage (when many people are involved).

They need their people to have their families prepared and their workers focusing upon their jobs. This makes sense, but at the same time it is disclosing the fact that they expect something that will require all the governmental personnel to be active on duty and which at the same time will represent a major disruption of the life of the society.

Correlating this with the recent warnings about the solar flares one can realize that big things are coming upon us soon.
